What A Week At The Royal Welsh Show

Last week I travelled to Builth Wells to The Royal Welsh Show with my little family of helpers and we set up a mini version of what is in my head as my future shop of dreams (one day I hope) a little store where I can display the work I have created and have a desk to sit at to chat to anyone who walks in about all things creative and wrap anything that I sell in brightly coloured tissue paper and paper raffia at the same time while having a little space for  making more artwork too. 

What a week it was, I felt so much love for what we created from the messages on Instagram I received to the encouragement I had via text messages, visits from family and friends (one of my gorgeous friends Han even travelled on the park and ride bus with a human sized bag of cushions to re-stock for me! if you don't feel supported when someone does that for you when will you hey?! i owe her one!) and the positive reactions from new faces and familiar ones! It was such a wonderful experience and what a show!

None of us had been to The Royal Welsh before but it was amazing! There was so much variety of what we could see and do that we could have spent four days there and each day could have been completely different  (obviously if I wasn't on my stand!) but my husband and two young farmers had a brilliant time going around the show while I enjoyed everything they brought me back to sample (discovering some delicious new Welsh ice cream was one of my food highlights as well as the melt in your mouth pulled Welsh Beef) We ate some delicious food from different stalls across the four days and met some brilliant fellow traders in the Glamorgan hall too. The shows, the information, the competitions and entertainment available were so varied and the talent in Wales evidently incredible across all elements of the show, not to mention everyone who came to the stand being so friendly.

I can't wait to go back if they will have me! 

The aftermath of the show has seen me (tired!) trying to update everything on the website so that the full product range is available in all colours and prints, being totally honest this has taken me a lot longer than I thought but it is finally coming!!!
